Emma's Birthday

Just so everyone knows, we're planning on having a birthday party for Emma (her birthday is October 16) on Sunday, October 21st in Louisville, as well as hopefully Sunday, October 14th in Ohio.

THIS LIST BELOW IS ONLY FOR THOSE WANTING TO BUY PRESENTS FOR EMMA. OBVIOUSLY, IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING OR YOU HAVE TO GET ONLY THESE ITEMS. THIS LIST IS REALLY JUST FOR GRANDPARENTS, ETC.

ALSO: You may want to post a comment in the comment section if you get something from this list that you don't want anyone else to get a duplicate of for her. Thanks!

We know that most people would like to buy presents for her rather than just send money so we can buy presents. There are a lot of things Emma really needs this year, since the toys we have really aren't engaging for her age any more. Therefore, I thought it'd be helpful to write a list of things.

The most important things to know are that Emma really loves playing pretend, but has nothing to help stimulate that. She likes doing things that imitate us, like cooking, cleaning, playing doctor and being a mommy. We're really looking for toys that she can play with on her own and that will help stimulate her imagination:

1. Cooking sets, tea sets, food sets, dishes
2. Dolls (please gets ones that can sit down. she wants to be able to feed them while they're sitting)
3. Doll clothes (that are REALLY easy to put on! We don't want to have to help all the time), and "taking care of baby" items
4. Doctor set ( I know she would LOVE this)

Other items that we think Emma would really like are linked here. Some of the items are a bit pricey. You don't have to get the ones listed here in particular. The only thing I ask is that it be easy for Emma to do BY HERSELF (am I making this clear that we need some free time!?) and also that don't have any pieces that Michael can eat.

Awesome remote control trains (she LOVES trains)

And tracks that you can add for them

Doll Set for young kids, and accessories

Cool internet/online game piece for kids

Okay, I think that's it! Again, remember that you don't have to buy the most expensive of these things. We really just hope to get good imagination building toys this year. We're pretty set on clothes and things like that. Toys are really where its at!

Thanks!
