FINALLY!!!!!! New blog post, new year!

First post of the year! Here are some of our Christmas pictures. I will be putting up more later.

This Christmas we drove to Montana, Ohio, and Georgia. After thousands and thousands of miles, we are finally home and getting back to normal. Of course, after our last trip, we returned home to find that someone had found our hidden key and broken into our home. We lost all of our good movies (aka, superhero, fantasy, and seasons of 24), 3 pairs of brand new Target jeans, an air mattress, and a bunch of cash we had saved for dates. But its okay, because all of those things are very worldly and completely unnecessary. The only things we'll need to replaced are the jeans (which I was actually returning anyhow, but matt did need to have at least ONE pair!) and the air mattress. It made me realize as i was filing the insurance claim that I had $700 in fantasy and superhero movies sitting on a shelf when I didn't really watch them enough to justify that. Why do we collect things we don't really need or use???

Anyways, as we begin this new year, Michael is learning how to crawl around (and Emma is starting to feel more threatened by his more active role in taking her toys), wave, and pull up on furniture. Emma is learning how to sing all her favorite songs with the CORRECT words! She is also deep into the drama that is BEING Cinderella. "I'm not LIKE Cinderella, mommy. I AM Cinderella". She very frequently can be found running around the house with her hands in the air crying "They ripped my dress and I'm very very sad!!!"

As I said, I promise to add Christmas pictures later. Probably tomorrow. Enjoy the family pictures for now!
